Join us as a Junior Buyer in Ghent, Belgium and be part of our dedicated Global Procurement team. In this role, you will support strategic sourcing initiatives, assist in supplier relationship management, and play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient availability of raw materials for Nutreco's operations.
What are your key accountabilities?
- Interaction with internal stakeholders such as Nutreco Procurement community (central & OpCo), Quality team, R&D, business analysts.

In conjunction with Nutreco Master Data Management (MDM) and other stakeholders, request new supplier accounts and the creation of new raw material items.- Analyze vendor proposals, negotiate, and close contracts and provides recommendations to management.
- Purchases items that may require some assessment of quality and/or compatibility.
- Responsible for operational relations with relevant suppliers and administers ongoing supplier management programs.
- Make medium term forecast of cost price development.
- Participates in coordinating activities with supply management colleagues.
- Translate market developments and understand their impact on product flow, pricing, and availability.
- Reviews weekly output from internal customers such as Material Requirements Planning for requisitions.

What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, or related study.
- Experience with using ERP system (Infor M3 preferred)
- Excellent computer skills, particularly M/S Excel etc.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritize and manage your time effectively in a fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment, able to work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively.
- A high level of motivation along with confidence in your internal & external interactions
